/VERDICT/
If you've noticed that the packaging is different as it's not individually boxed and as written on the title, it is the Limited Edition Shades just for the Holidays! The box screams "yuletide season" in a very cute way with all the designs and the shade names are utterly adorable! If you've seen the previous Dream Creams, the box has moons and stars but this one has sparkles and snowflakes with cute buildings and a moon with a shadow of Santa Claus on his sleigh with his reindeers! There's also a christmas tree on the side, christmas balls at the back with the shade names, "To" and From" spaces (just in case you want to give this to a special someone in your life or you just want to reward yourself) and the top of the box says "Sleigh, Girl!" or Slay, Girl. The box actually looks like a cigarette box because of its flip top cover which i find very interesting, creative and unique! The bottles are again, just like the others. The same square-ish bottle with baby pink cover with the same doe-foot applicator. The scent is also the same as before, it's very nice and subtle. Perfect for my liking! It's not fruity nor floral. I'm not good with explaining how it smells like and until now, i still can't explain the smell of the Dream Creams but it smells amazingly good. It's something you haven't smell from any other lip makeup.
Applying a tint has never been this easy! It's highly pigmented so not much is needed to cover the whole lips! If you want a natural looking / simple tint, you only need 2-3 dots on your lips and just spread it evenly using your finger and that same finger you used, you can still salvage the leftover product and use it on your cheeks as blush and/or on your eyes as eyeshadow! That's how awesome and pigmented this product is! In addition to that, you can also achieve a nice powder velvet matte lip when you apply a layer, yes, just one layer of this on your lips and you can get that nice opaque velvet lipstick! Also, since this is a lip cream,it glides smoothly, very comfortable and non-drying! It's even moisturizing! Whether i want it to look like a lip tint or a velvet matte lipstick, it doesn't dry my lips either way! Not to mention that it's very lightweight and there's no doubt about it. Be it on the eyes, lips and cheeks, it's all the same! It applies like a cloud, it feels like a cloud. No chapped lips, no breakouts and no milia seeds caused by these dreamy tints!
When they called it "Dream Creams", it means the formula of these creams are like a dream and it didn't disappoint! Hence exceeded expectations. These are the third release of shades by Skinpotions and all of them have the same texture! That's something i admire about the brand. For being consistent! They are indeed creamy and has a good powder velvet finish! A legit velvet you can find in the local market! It barely settles on my lip lines and no stinging as well! Furthermore, even when i swatched it on my arm, i went to wait for a few minutes before blending them and they didn't leave any mark on where i originally applied them unlike other lip products that when you leave them for a little while, they leave this sort of marking where you put them initially. That's how blendable this is. These are not kiss-proof, waterproof nor transfer-proof but they last long! We're talking about roughly 6 hours (with heavy eating)! And that's ideal for the christmas season with all the family gathering (and eating) everywhere!
By adding these, Dream Creams already have a total of 13 shades! A wide range to choose from, whichever color that will suit your skin tone, undertone and preference! They retail for only P249 / $5 each (they always have sale, so watch out for that!)! For that price, you will have an eyeshadow, a blush and a lip tint / lipstick in one! WHAT A STEAL! My favorite out of the 3 gorgeous shades is Hollie! It's a red orange shade and i'm obsessed with it! I wear it with one of the most abused shade from their second release which is Soleil to achieve a nice ombre lip! These kinds of products are really one of the reasons why i don't patronize imported brands because our local brands has a lot more to offer! No need to look further! No overpricing as well. This product can even be on par with an imported brand (not drugstore) that sells velvet lipsticks which costs around P800 / $16! So whether you're naughty or nice on Santa's list, you deserve this set! 🎄
