/VERDICT/
Let’s start off with its packaging! Skinpotions never cease to amaze me. And their Valentines Edition is not an exception! They always release for every occasion and it is gorgeous every single time! The boxes are on point! Definitely suits the celebration and all the designs complement each other, even the font and all! It has all the information you need to know about the product which I always emphasize in every review and that is the ingredients. Aside from that, they also stated how to use it, what’s it for and a brief introduction of the product. Their container is always uniformed which is a square-ish with the brand name imprinted on the bottle itself with a baby pink cover that comes with a doe-foot applicator. The scent of each and every dream cream is consistent. All of the shades have the same scent and I can never get enough of how good they smell like. It’s very mild and unique, only dream creams smells like it. Packaging – Smell
After three batches (first 6 shades, 4 additional shades and Christmas edition), it still glides like a dream! It’s super smooth on the lips and since they’re highly pigmented, I only need a dot to have my lips have a beautiful natural looking color! When I want to have bolder color payoff, I just need to dots or swipe once on my upper lip and just purse my lips together for my lower lip to have some color too. Although it may sound like it won’t be as vibrant but it is! And the best part is, the leftover on my finger after perfecting and distributing the product evenly on my lips can still be used on the cheeks and eyelids! They're very easy to blend on the cheeks and eyelids even with just fingers and no tools and that’s something we should go for because not everyone has and invests in beauty tools such as makeup brushes. Hence, looking for something blendable by fingers is a must! It's a unique product because it's as light as a tint which is featherweight and has the vibrant color payoff of a liquid lipstick. Everywhere i apply it, comfortable is an understatement. Lips, Cheeks and Eyelids, name it! It felt like i didn't put anything on and the best part is, it's non-drying! No breakouts too!
Its finish is definitely powder velvet matte! And i love how it looks like on the cheeks because it doesn't look like i wore blush, just naturally blushing. Especially when i use the shades that look natural for my skin tone and undertone. When this is being spread out or blended, it may feel a bit powdery but it's not chalky on the cheeks or anywhere you prefer to use it. Another thing about these tints are no matter how long you've dot on your cheeks, you can still blend it. It doesn't dry too fast and it doesn't leave a mark where you initially applied it. You just have to be very careful because if you apply too much on your cheeks, the color can be very overwhelming. And it may look different on the lips than on the cheeks and lids because the more you blend it, it changes color and becomes more vibrant than before. In terms of longevity, considered that it's not transfer-proof, kiss-proof and just slightly waterproof, it's already long-lasting. It does leave some stain on cups / straws but still lasts for a good 5-6 hours! And that's coming from someone who eats ginormous meal portions and sweats profusely!
Having this kind of three-way tint, you won't be bringing too much when you go out. I was even able to let my cousin from the States try this and she was amazed how nice this product is! Even she cannot believe that these retails for only P249 / $5 each and the shade selection is huge with a total of 16 shades including this collection which consists of shades that can cater all skin tones and undertones there is! My favorite shade for this edition is Charlie because it suits me the most but when i feel more fierce, i use Millie and Freya for gradient lip and apply the leftover on my cheeks so that not a single drop will be wasted! These are the best choice to add in the collection and i personally love staring at them with the other Dream Cream shades because they all look so cute and definitely have something that will match my mood any day! ♥
