/VERDICT/
These are the cutest and first ever colored lip balms that i've tried and seen! I really love how Skinpotions puts an extra effort to make their products' labels kawaii and uniformed! Even to the smallest details of it like the candies on the labels of these are different colors matching their shades! Yes it's once again, waterproof labels! I think all, if not, most of their labels now are waterproof. And it has all the information you need to know about the product which is the Brand Name, Product Name, Product Weight (10g), Shade and the Ingredients (Shea Butter, Beeswax, Coconut Oil and Fruit Pigments). The tube may be a simple and typical twist-up but it's actually the wisest container for lip balm, at least for me and in my opinion. You can easily bring them and apply them anywhere and everywhere you are since they are very handy and pocket-friendly in terms of size (and price too!)
They surprisingly smells and tastes like legit candies! As sweet as it is! It doesn't even have a single bit of foul smell or bitter taste! I would know because i tested these for each shade per day and my week is already complete! What i like about these is that they are made consistently. By means, all shades smells and tastes the same! Just the shades are different! There are some lip products that i've tried before and the formula is not consistent. Some have unpleasant smell and some don't, some has bitter taste and some don't and worst is, some are pigmented and some are don't. But Skinpotions doesn't let that happen even when they produce such huge batches every single time!
Did i tell you that these are one of the few lip balms that are very easy to apply, highly pigmented to the point that i didn't even need to swipe it on my lips hence dot it instead? That's how pigmented they are! One dot and color pays off right away! Either on the lips, cheeks and even on my eyelids. It's literally as easy as 1, 2, 3! And one more thing, they are very buildable and totally not patchy!
The texture on the other hand is just WOW! Them being easily applied already means that it has a great formula but having to ace even the texture is pure sorcery! This is the first time that i've seen and tried lip balms that are not too greasy but very creamy! Non-drying and doesn't make my lips suffer meaning it's very lightweight! Even though the first thing i did when i received them was do a swatch fest! Me having an experience with lip products, i was expecting that my lips would be dry and stinging from all the lip swatches but NOPE! It didn't! My lips were moisturized instead! That's how awesome the formula is!
And i wouldn't miss talking about the longevity of these! Since i tried each shade everyday, i saw how long lasting they are even when they don't have a matte finish! They usually last for 8 hours which is already gold because these aren't transfer-proof and the color doesn't totally fade but leaves a faint tint on the lips afterwards.
What made it sweeter is that they are made without harming any of our furry friends A.K.A. Cruelty-free which is one of the many reasons why we should support it! Definitely one of the best lip balms to bring when you travel! When i went to Singapore for a two and a half week vacation, i brought all shades with me so that i have options that will suit my mood while i'm there. And also to keep my lips extra moisturized! Honestly, amazing is an understatement for these lip balms! They are one of a kind and has 7 shades that can match with your no-makeup look to date night look! They retail for P180 / $3.6 and can last for months because all you need is a little bit of this and you're good to go!
My favorite and most abused shades are Tangerine Spice, Hello Plum, Cherry Bitten and Baby Aurora! And i bet you'll love them too! Skinpotions really makes high quality products, be it skincare or makeup! They can be on par with imported brands and something to surely be proud of because it's locally made! No rooms for regrets nor disappointments, just results and satisfaction! ♡
