/VERDICT/
Starting off with the packaging, this product has its own box which is something that’s not uncommon with Korean beauty products and yes, it has English translations as well! The box and cap has the same color of the lipstick shade which I find it good in some way, in case you have a lot of these in different shades, you don’t have to remove it from the box or tilt it just to check the shades because you can already see what shade it is on the box. The container is plastic and has quite some unique ridges to it and has a touch of lightning engraved on the cap which I find cute. In terms of smell, it has a sweet cherry scent to it but not too fruity nor too strong for my liking so it’s alright. It’s mild and you’ll be able to smell it only if you really take your time to sniff it, otherwise it’s not so noticeable, if you’re not interested in that particular scent that I’ve mentioned.

Moving on to its application, it applies like a dream. The applicator shape made it easier for me to apply it well because its tip is flatter and angled to precisely reach the corners of the lip for fuller application. And it’s also able to get enough amount of the lipstick so that you won’t have to double dip. It’s actually one of the few that I’ve tried that’s smooth to apply, no dragging nor any discomfort throughout the process; from applying it on, letting it dry, to whole day wearing it as it’s very lightweight on the lips without any sticky feeling to it. It doesn’t dry my lips even though it’s matte which is something that’s quite a con for most matte lipsticks in the market and it doesn’t set on lip cracks. It can be applied lightly like a lip tint, add more on the inner lip for a gradient look or a full opaque lip. It’s all up to you or your mood because it’s buildable and extremely pigmented!

Although it is said on the packaging that this product is matte, it has a velvety texture. Even on the lips and this is what made it different from other matte liquid lipsticks in the market especially in terms of comfort and feeling on the lips. Also, the product is very creamy and doesn’t dry too fast, just the perfect time for you to be able to work with it more but not to the point that it will make you wait too long for it to set. Lastly, its longevity; considering that it’s not extremely matte as compared to others, there is a little transfer but not too much for it to make the lipstick look off. I’ve tested it from morning to night and it was able to withstand almost 10 hours with a lot of drinking, eating, snacking, etc. Of course, it faded but not awkward looking and doesn’t even look like it has to be retouched for me. So if you’re like me who’s not into retouches especially when I’m out and about, this would be a perfect choice. 😊

One more thing about this product that made it unique is that it has a lot of shades which is 16 shades for the lip flash mattes and 8 shades for their lip vinyl or the gloss version of this one and that’s something uncommon for Korean beauty brands nowadays. Because a lot of them focus on neutrals, pinks and reds or even peachy shades but this brand went out of the comfort zone and thought outside the box that helped them launch a lot of unusual shades like blue, violet and turquoise green to cater those who loves bold colors on their lips. I admit, I really had a hard time picking which color to get and I ended up choosing this shade which is a deep burgundy shade that’s perfect for date nights or evening events and because I thought it would be the safest shade that would definitely suit my skintone / undertone. And I wasn’t wrong, thankfully! This lip product has a retail price of P1,500 / $30 and now down to P1,300 / $26 because it’s available on Charis. I know a lot of people would think that it’s on the pricey side, even I do. But to those who don’t look at a product’s price, it’s something new to try. Another Korean beauty brand that I only heard or discovered through Charis but it really is promising.

RECOMMENDED! ✨
