/VERDICT/
Starting off with its packaging, as always, it comes with a box which is in a pretty red color and black fonts that are in fact, two of my favorite colors. However, the box didn’t have English translation to it aside from the brand, product name and shade. So, I just had to check some of stuff from the Charis ad, especially the ingredients because I always make sure to check it. The pencil matches the box that came with it and the design is very simple yet still catchy, the cap of the pencil is a reflective rose gold which I find a really nice touch to it. The size of it is decent, it contains 2.7g of the product and it’s not too chubby so it can be held nicely for easier application. I thought it would be troublesome to use like other lip pencils that you would have to sharpen every now and then but it can be twisted at the bottom part so it’s alright for me. Moving on to its scent, I don’t have much to say about it because it doesn’t have any particular smell to it, not even the typical scent of lipstick. If you sniff it, there is like a really faint smell but not that distinct.

I admit, I’m not much of a fan of lip pencils or lipstick in general because I’m more of a liquid lipstick kind of girl as I find the bullet ones a tad bit drying, or maybe it was just the ones I’ve tried? This one applies smoothly for a lip pencil than anything I’ve ever tried before and since it has a nice shape to it, it can reach the edge or corner of my lips and I can easily outline my lips using it. Not to mention that it’s really pigmented so you can just blend it using a cotton bud or your own fingers if you want it to look like a tint and a little goes a long way with it. I also use it on my cheeks when I blend it because I don’t want to waste the product and so far, I didn’t get any breakouts or something similar to that. Comfort-wise, I really like how lightweight it is on the lips or even on my cheeks. And as you all know, I have dry lips and usually, I wear lip balms before putting on lipsticks but I didn’t need that with this one because it doesn’t dry my lips nor settles within the lip cracks / lines. Making my lips look and feel moisturized and gorgeous!


The texture on the other hand, is very creamy. This is why it can be used on the cheeks as well because it’s easy to blend properly, you won’t even need much effort. The finish is semi-matte which I’m comfortable with as I like matte lippies but my lips are just not having it so this finish is like a compromise between my preference and my lips’ condition. Given that the finish is semi-matte, it’s not transfer-proof nor smudge-proof but it’s way long lasting than I was expecting it to be. Of course, I didn’t expect much from it when it comes to longevity but the transfer is very minimal and it lasts the whole day. Not much fade out even after eating and it stays vibrant until you remove it. In all the days that I’ve tested this, I would say it lasted for about 10 hours on an average. Even on the cheeks and even when you wash it, it doesn’t come off easily! I was impressed and amazed by how this stayed and performed.

It has a total of 4 shades which are red, pink, orange and nude. The basics and usual shades for initial launch so that it will suit most skin tones but I think that the shades were a little too vibrant, especially for tanned skin. That’s why I chose this shade too and luckily, it’s a true red and extremely pretty! Its original price is P560 / $11.2 but since it’s available on Charis and I’m one of their celebs, the price is down to P490 / $9.8 which is within the normal price range of lipsticks from Korea nowadays. To some, it may be a little pricey but if you’re really looking for a good lip product and too lazy to retouch all the time (like me!), this is a good buy! It can be used as a tint or lipstick, depending on what you feel and is definitely a game changer.
