/VERDICT/
Let’s start off with its packaging, it’s not overwhelming and kudos that it has all the important details about the product is printed on it such as the brand, product, shade and ingredients. They also indicated that it is “Certified Organic by Australian Chemist Society” and is cruelty-free.
It actually smells like bubblegum. Specifically the one that i always ask my mom to buy me when i was a kid. It’s sweet but not to the point that you’ll be bothered by it or something, just the right amount of sweetness that anyone can’t resist.
The process of applying this is one of the easiest. You will only need one swipe as it’s very pigmented. But for me, dotting it on my lips was already enough. And in terms of comfort, it is comfortable because i always apply not more than one swipe but i personally think that when i put more layers / swipes, it won’t be too comfy for my lips anymore. Don’t get me wrong, i do love them and i can wear them all day everyday. Maybe it’s just my lips but there’s this one time that it made my lips a little too dry about 4 hours into testing since i wear each shade a day to see how long they will last. Most importantly, it’s very lightweight on the lips and non-sticky.
Texture on the other hand is no doubt, creamy. Especially when being applied, it’s very creamy making the effortless glide and has a matte finish. Honestly, this is the first matte tinted lip balms that i’ve tried and i honestly don’t know what to expect. And they remind me of the bullet lipsticks with creamy matte finish. Although this one has zero to minimal transfers compared to the classic lipsticks mentioned.
Talking about longevity, this one really wins a spot! I tested it each day and the average lasting power is about 8 hours. And that’s one of the reasons why i chose to wear this for one of our family occasion wherein we had to travel 3 hours from our house to the venue as it was being held in a province nearby. My pick was “Diva” for that day and i only applied a few dots on my lips at around 3PM, socialized, ate (buffet) and got home around 12MN but my lips were still decent and poppin’. Definitely no retouch needed!
They have a total of 9 shades and retails for P199 / $3.8 each. One lip balm can last for months and definitely worth more than its price! The three shades that i got were actually very pretty and wearable. And although, this one wasn’t much for the cheeks as it fades away when i tried it, it’s still worth getting because of its color payoff on the lips and after all, it’s said to be a lip balm and not lip and cheek balm. ♡
